Who Is A Good Candidate For Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a highly effective treatment for achieving permanent hair reduction. The success of the treatment can depend on various factors, including the color and texture of the hair as well as the patient’s skin type.

In general, laser hair removal targets the pigment in hair follicles to prevent further growth. Patients with lighter skin and darker, coarser hair tend to respond the most quickly to the treatment. Fortunately, our Clarity II laser from Lutronic has proven to be effective across most skin and hair types, including those with darker skin tones. For patients with lighter hair colors, it may take more treatments to achieve the desired outcome, as there is less pigment in the hair for the laser to target. In all cases, laser settings are adjusted to protect the skin’s surface and deliver the correct and appropriate amount of energy.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?

The Clarity II laser is designed with breakthrough intelligent capabilities which enable treatment up to twice as fast as other leading devices. Most appointments are very fast and take less than 10 minutes with consistent treatment coverage in large areas.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

While results vary from patient to patient, you will likely see results immediately following your first treatment. To fully remove the hair, most patients need 2 to 6 laser treatments which will be spaced 4-6 weeks apart to allow for the hair growth cycle to restart. Following your treatment, most patients do not see any hair on the treated skin for several months or even years. When the hair regrows, there tends to be less of it. The hairs also tend to be finer and lighter in color.

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

Are there any side effects with laser hair removal?

Side effects are usually mild. The most common side effects are discomfort, swelling or redness, all of which should subside within 24 to 48 hours. Other side effects, such as blisters, are extremely rare when the proper pre-treatment instructions have been followed. There is virtually no downtime and you should be able to return to normal activities and wear makeup right away.
